Founded in 1958, French fashion house Léonard is known for its innovative printing techniques and the iconic orchid-print silk jersey dresses. Its delicate floral motifs are often compared to those of Pucci.

In January 2014, Leonard has announced the appointment of Yiqing Yin as creative director. This Chinese-born French designer, young and talented, has until recently been known largely for her experimental couture style. Her debut 2014 Autumn/Winter collection for Léonard used traditional house prints which have been remixed and recoloured. Elements of Yin’s Asian heritage was also added to the Léonard collection.
